Overview
Rust-Oleum NR.1 Paint Stripper is a methylene-chloride-free gel that removes oil- and alkyd-based paints, emulsion paints, varnish and most two-component coatings from metal, mineral and wooden surfaces. It is also a glue remover. The gel paste stays put better than a liquid. Apply from 0°C. It does not contain NMP, acids, alkalis, biocides or conservation additives, and it will not attack metal, mineral or wood.

- Brush on a thick even layer with a disposable flat or round brush. Do not use synthetic brushes. Wait 10 - 15 minutes then remove with a filling knife or scraper. Thick two-component films may need a second pass.
- Application 0 - 30°C; relative humidity below 85%. VOC 900 g/l. Density 0.99 g/cm³. Open the can carefully - it can be under pressure. Shelf life minimum 1 year in an unopened can.
- After stripping, clean with a cleaner (e.g. ND 14) or steam, rinse with fresh water and let dry fully before recoating. May affect plastics such as PVC or polystyrene - test a small patch first.
