Overview
Rust-Oleum EpoxyShield 5300 MAXX is a water-based two-component epoxy floor coating for medium to heavy foot and vehicle traffic. Apply on clean dry concrete or on old well-adhering coatings. Do not apply on smooth/dense concrete or concrete with a curing compound. Anti-slip additive (200.0.7) and decorative chips (505.0.43) are optional extras - they are not in this tin. Do not mix chips into the paint; broadcast them onto the wet film.
- Manufacturer SKU/model 5382.5. Fill 5 L.
- Mix component A into B and stir at least 3 minutes. Induction then pot life 2 hours at 15°C / 1½ hours at 21°C / 1 hour at 26°C. Use within that window. Two people recommended.
- Handle 16 hours (light foot traffic). Recoat 24 hours (normal foot traffic and heavy items). Fully cured 7 days (vehicle traffic) at 20°C / 50% RH.
- Theoretical coverage about 7 m²/l per coat. One coat can be enough. Density 1.27 g/cm³. Solids 63.6% by volume. Satin. VOC 53 g/l (category A/j).
- Air 15 - 35°C; RH below 80%; floor at least 13°C. Apply by 20 cm roller in 1.5 × 1.5 m sections. Clean tools with warm water and mild detergent.
- Colour Silver Grey RAL 7001. Not a 1-component sealer and not the 203005 garage-kit pouch.
