Overview
Rust-Oleum 5412 Epoxy Repair Putty is a solvent-free two-component epoxy putty for small cracks, air-pockets and blow-holes in concrete walls, ceilings and floors. It is 3× stronger than concrete, shrink-free and low odour. Mix base and activator 1:1 by volume with a filling knife on a flat board - not in the tin. Apply a slight over-amount; after drying, sand back to shape. Recoat with Rust-Oleum 9100, 5500, 9400 or Pegakote after sanding. Not 5180 repair mortar and not an EpoxyShield floor-coating kit.

- Touch dry 4 hours; handle and recoat 16 hours; fully cured 7 days (20°C / 50% RH). Pot life 30 minutes for a 1 kg mix at 20°C.
- Theoretical consumption 1.5 kg/m² per 1 mm thickness. Film 0.2 - 3 mm. Maximum thickness on vertical surfaces 3 mm.
- Density 1.45 g/cm³. Solids 100% by weight and volume. Matt light grey. Compressive strength 75 MN/m². Heat resistance 120°C dry. VOC 0 g/l (ready-mix 490 g/l category A/i).
- Air and substrate 10 - 35°C; relative humidity below 85%; substrate at least 3°C above dew point. New concrete must dry and cure at least 30 days. Very porous substrates: prime first with 5401 Impregnation Primer. Expansion joints and dynamic cracks: use a flexible sealant (5160) instead.
- Clean tools with Rust-Oleum Thinner 160. Do not thin the putty. Always sand/abrade 5412 before recoating.
